My Alice

Yedi cihan Alice'le ilgili haberlerle dolduğu için biraz sinir oluyorum. She's my hero. Hatta Alice'in ta kendisi bendim-bu ülkede yaşamadığım zamanlarda. Tim Burton filmini çevirdiği için Alice'li haberleri görmeye alıştırmalıyım kendimi.
Paul and Joe'nun Alice in Wonderland koleksiyonunu tatlı buldum. Alice'in, çocukken anneannemlerin salonundaki koltuğa kurulup TRT'de izlediğim halini hatırlattı bana.

Charles Lutwidge Dodgson'ın (nam-ı diğer Lewis Carroll) Alice Liddell ve kardeşleriyle geçirdiği zamandan esinlenerek kaleme aldığı kitabın ilk versiyonunun ismi, 'Alice's Adventures Under Ground.' Buyrun size kitabın önsözünden bir kuple:
Twenty five years later, in an article for the Theatre, he described the 'golden afternoon' that inspired the famous tale: "the cloudless blue above, the watery mirror below, the boat drifting idly on its way, the oars, as they waved so sleepily to and fro, and... the three eager faces... from whose lips "Tell us a story, please" had all the stren immutability of Fate!" He also recalled that "in a desperate attempt to strike out some new line of fairy-lore," he had sent Alice "straight down a rabbit hole, to begin with, without the least idea what was to happen afterwards." Many of the subsequent happenings were in fact, inspired by particular Oxford events, characters and situations which, though strongly tinged with fantasy, would have been instantly recognisable to the children.
